This stunning solid Tasmanian Blackwood Card Box will sit well in any place in the house. Fully lined with luxurious black suede, it makes a great key box on the hall table or a place to keep that special keepsake.
Handcrafted by Craig, apprenticed for many years under his late father Bruce, this stunning blackwood card box was lovingly crafted in his home-based workshop. Whilst Craig has a modern workshop with all the newer woodworking tools, at the end of the day nothing beats the finish of good old fashion 'elbow Grease'. In other words, the timber products he makes are all hand finished. Craig firmly believes gaining a quality finish is as much about feel as sight.
- Box dimensions: 14cm long x 10 cm wide x 7cm tall.
- Full length piano hinge used for attaching lid to the box body, with specially designed back rest, giving strenth and stability.
Blackwood is a native Tasmanian hardwood which appears in a rich variety of colours with a stunning grain that can be straight or wavy. It has a lustrous appearance and is a strong, long lasting timber.
All timber used in Bruce's Boxes is locally sourced in Tasmania from ethically sourced timbers.
