Tasmanian Blackwood is a native hardwood renowned for its rich variety of colors and striking grain patterns, which can be either straight or wavy. With a lustrous appearance, it is a strong and durable timber. This wood thrives in the north-west swamp forests and river areas, as well as eucalyptus forests. Large areas of the swamp forests in Tasmania are dedicated to sustainable Blackwood harvesting.
