This Huon Pine solid timber Jewel Box is an exceptional gift for a special occasion or person. Expertly handcrafted from the rare Huon Pine, this box is lined with black suede and features dividers for easy organization, including one large section and two smaller sections.
- Box Dimensions: 22cm in length, 17cm in width, and 7cm in height.
Huon Pine is a unique rainforest timber from Tasmania, renowned for its distinctive aroma due to natural oils that also make it highly resistant to fungal and insect damage. The color ranges from almost white to light cream and yellowish, with fine, closely spaced growth rings and occasional small black "bird's eye" markings.
The Huon Pine used in this product was sustainably recovered from the Tasmanian forest floor under a government license and allocated to Millers. It comes from remnants of old logging activities or the natural death of trees.
Craig showcases his talent for Tasmanian woodcraft by meticulously hand-finishing each box in his home workshop in Launceston. All his timber products are hand-finished, with a focus on both feel and appearance for a quality finish.
Bruce's Boxes are fine solid timber products, offering the unmatched feel, smell, and look of genuine solid wood. Full-length piano hinges attach the lids to the box bodies, providing excellent stability and strength with their specially designed backrest.
