This unique, hand crafted Tasmanian Huon Pine Jewel Box fitted with a removable half tray is the perfect gift to safely keep your most valuable treasures tucked away safely.
This stunning Jewel Box Features:
- Box Dimensions: 25cm wide x 30cm long x 9cm tall.
- Removable Half Tray: 13cm wide x 21.5cm long x 3cm deep and lined in luxurious black suede.
- Beneath the tray are six sections also beautifully lined in black suede plus featuring two ring holders.
Designing and making this stunning Huon Pine box has been a true labour of love for Craig, the skilled craftsman behind Bruce's Boxes. With many years of experience apprenticed under his late father Bruce, Craig has gained a deep knowledge of Tasmanian timbers. Craig carefully selects the finest grade timbers, sustainably sourced in Tasmania for his creations.
All the Huon Pine used in this Jewel box was recovered from the Tasmanian forest floor by the government and allocated to Millers. It is the remnant of the old piners of long ago or from the natural death of the tree. Because of its natural oils it can lay in mud for a hundred years and will not rot. The wood arrives seasoned and ready to be machined to dimension. Craig takes time to colour match each component to provide the best combination for each box he makes.
This solid timber box with its full length brass piano hinge is a unique Tasmanian timber gift for a loved one or standout gift for a special occasion.
